The Sheep Fencing and Mobile Handling Equipment Scheme closes for applications at the end of the year.
At a recent farm walk in Co Mayo, farmers were urged to get their applications in to avail of approximately €1.5 million in grant aid available in the final two tranches of the scheme.
The next tranche closes for applications at the end of September.
Under the revised scheme, the maximum investment grant aided has increased from €10,000 to €25,000 per holding.
Grant aid is payable at 40%, meaning that the maximum grant aid available is €10,000. Application forms and terms and conditions are available at www.agriculture.gov.ie
