The Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town, will play host to the Business Connections Event on February 6th 2014.
Business Connections – Event Format
The event is an opportunity for all Business Boot Camp participants to come together for the first time and to explore opportunities for cross border, trade, make contacts, do business, increase turnover, increase skills base, network, celebrate entrepreneurship and be part of the new and emerging Business Boot Camp Network.
Break-out sessions have also been designed around key business themes – access to finance, social media, marketing and business banking.
Business support agencies will also be present on the day to answer your questions and provide up to date information. These support agencies include Micro Finance Ireland, Inter Trade Ireland, Failte Ireland, Enterprise Northern Ireland and Trade Links.
Guest speakers Gerry Duffy, Grainne Kelly, John Conaghan and Annette Houston will be there to share their experiences and provide tips for success.
Sarah Meehan, a native of Letterkenny who has been at the forefront of the marketing and promotion of the successful Donegal Gathering is set to host a workshop at this event. While she supports many projects Sarah is set to host a workshop which helps young entrepreneurs set up their own business and help existing businesses grow at the Business Connections Event. She is planning on giving a talk about the importance of marketing in order to succeed in today’s society: “Marketing is crucial for any business regardless of the industry. The heart of any business success lies in its marketing, it is an important aspect of growing your business, and is an investment that will pay for itself over and over again.”
“Strategic marketing of a company’s products, services and brand can mean the difference between success and failure. Many businesses think that you need a large budget to market a product, but there are many low cost marketing options out there.”
Sarah encourages all business owners and entrepreneurs alike to come and avail of the free workshop: “The event is a fantastic opportunity to bring young entrepreneurs together from both North and South of the border.”
