As reported previously MED Partnership Group in conjunction with members of the rural community have been exploring the possibility of setting up a Country Market in Ballyshannon. MED Partnership Group has already held two information evenings and 12 producers have expressed an interest in this project. MED Partnership Group held their well attended AGM in the Carlton Hotel, Belleek, Co. Fermanagh on the 24th February 2004.. Highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Frank O’Kelly perpetual cup to the person who gave outstanding service to the group over the previous year. The winner of this inaugural award was the group secretary John Barron. Mrs. Valentine O’Kelly presented the award. Valentine highly praised the group on the hard work and initiative which has brought MED Partnership to where it is today.
