The Donegal Diaspora Project is hosting a series of events to explore the potential of the Wild Atlantic Way for creative and cultural stakeholders.

A number of international speakers are coming to Donegal to help set the context and investigate opportunities for businesses on the already famous route. As part of this series of events a seminar Cultural Tourism and Creative Economy on the Wild Atlantic Way is being held in CoLab, LYIT, Letterkenny. Confirmed speakers include:
Ms Nancy Gardella, Executive Director Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce;
Ms Ann Burke, Vice President Economic Development Council Western Massachusetts;
Ms Gloria O’Neill, President and CEO of Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) Anchorage Alaska.

Donegal Diaspora has been working with these organisations over the past number of years. The experience of these regions in this sector will without doubt provide interesting learning opportunities for Donegal.

Anyone involved in the creative or cultural sectors is invited to come to the seminar on May 20th.

Participants can take advantage of an opportunity to have a one-to-one meeting with the speakers. Donegal County Council is planning to build on the work initiated and have them visit a range of projects in the county. These include golf clubs, cultural initiatives, creative businesses and education establishments.

This is a free event. People who wish to register or who would like further information are asked to contact mairead.gibbons@donegalcoco.ie
