A coalition of organisations wants your views on how to promote and improve the unique heritage of the Fermanagh Lakelands.
RSPB NI, Waterways Ireland, Fermanagh District Council, The Conservation Volunteers, Fermanagh Rural Community Network, Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark and key government departments are working in partnership to develop ‘Lakelands Life’, a landscape-scale project to promote built, natural and cultural heritage on and around Lough Erne.
Four community workshops have been organised to allow local people to have their say. They will be held on;
23rd March at the Donn Carragh Hotel in Lisnaskea,
24th March at Cleenish Parish Hall in Bellanaleck
30th March at Kesh Community Centre
31st March at Derrygonnelly Community Centre
There will then be a ‘round-up’ session at Waterways Ireland’s Office on the Sligo Road in Enniskillen on 14 April.
All the views and project ideas collected will feed into a Stage One application to the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Landscape Partnership scheme to be submitted at the end of May. Attendance at the workshops is free of charge but please register by calling 028 9049 1547 or emailing terry.goldsmith@rspb.org.uk
