In February 2014, MED Cattle Committee Chairman Jeremy Mc Gonigle and his wife Valerie were awarded the Charolais Society Champion of Champions award for their pedigree heifer “Whinfort Gucci”, sired by Cottage Devon from a CF46 dam, Whinfort Olivia. The grand dam was Liscally Irish Girl, bred by Jon Regan.
As part of the award Jeremy received a silver trophy and a cheque for €1000.00. Subsequently, Jeremy announced at the MED AGM that he was donating the prize money to Cancer Research.

Recently, at the Breast Centre North West, Jeremy presented a cheque for €1000.00 to Geraldine Mc Gregor, who is a clinical nurse specialist. Also present were members of the Centre’s fund raising committee and staff of the Breast Care Centre, together with Jeremy’s daughter Lyndsey, (3rd from the left in the front row).
