A new autumn event for pedigree and commercial farmers is to be held at the Balmoral site in Belfast.

Richard Beattie has announced details of “Balmoral Bull Sales” which will take place on Saturday, November 1 at the former showgrounds in Belfast.
The “Balmoral Bull Sales” will take place at the former showgrounds in Belfast, and will feature bulls and females from leading beef breeders throughout the country. The sale date is Saturday, November 1, with inspections and judging taking place the day prior.
The driving force behind this new show and sale format is Richard Beattie, who has been auctioning for over a decade.
“We are welcoming entries from each and every beef breed for this event. This has the potential to offer buyers the largest selection of quality bulls and females all at one venue, at the one time. In addition stock will be sold fully warranted,” he said.
Richard has had a keen interest in pedigree livestock for many years, and has high hopes that this concept will be popular with both buyers and sellers. Historically there were bull sales held at Balmoral several decades ago which attracted purchasers from right across the UK and Ireland. In order to facilitate interest from across the water all stock entered will be eligible for export.
In addition to the selection of bulls that will be on offer, entries are also welcome for females. Richard has had inquiries already for drafts of females.
A spring sales is also in the pipeline, and Richard is confident that the convenience of having all the beef breeds at the one venue will prove popular with buyers.
